Wheatland Regional Library to Host the Launch of Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month

 Wheatland Regional Library is proud to be hosting the launch of the 2015 Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month.

In partnership with the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern and in collaboration with CALS (Committee on Aboriginal Library Services) and LSSAP (Library Services for Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal Peoples), the launch will be held on February 3rd, 2015.

Three performers have been assembled for the launch. Chad Solomon will be acting as storyteller in residence. Chad, otherwise known as Rabbit and Bear Paws, is a puppeteer from Ontario; Leah Dorion, is a multidisciplinary artist from Prince Albert; and the MC for the launch, Howard Walker, is a storyteller, comedian, and motivational speaker from the Muskoday First Nation.

The launch will take place on February 3rd from 7:00 -10:00 pm, at the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern. The event is open to everyone, so please join us for an evening of storytelling and traditional food!
